Description:
ELLE Mexico Diseña is a national contest in Mexico in wich the magazine ELLE finds new designers.
This dress was the first place in this contest with the theme: Primary Colors
The objective of the contest was to create a unique design in wish we only used red, blue and yellow, Pantone colors were provided and this is what I came up with.
This dress is inspired by Jackson Pollock, a famous painter painter from the 50's, his kind of art was abstract expressionism, he created the art of dripping. I was inspired not only by the painting but the way he did it. I tried to create the same visual embroidering with the three colors and the structure of the dress is hard and architectonical to create the surfaces in wich the painter worked.
