I produce my collection in Bucharest, Romania. Fashion design is my favourite language, because it is a form of expression so closely related to others. I first "came out" with my test-colle
ction in October 2011 at a hip location in Bucharest, with a performance of "9 things i trust", the concept of my collection. This was a collaboration with different artists: photography, visuals, contemporary dance, poetry / states in writing, graphics, acting.
I always want to send a message as closely as possible to how I feel and visualize things, I'm fond of conceptual art, I resonate with the Japanese sensibility, and with the Fluxus artistic movement. I agree with the latter's belief in human creativity, and in expanding the limits of the term "art". At the same time, I don't believe in limiting it to a certain kind of people, or specific forms of expression. Art can be and the man himself, and the actions he takes, the choices he makes.
That is why my clothes are versatile, most can be worn on both sides, or can be worn in more than two ways, in more than one style. In my opinion multifunctional clothes belong to a concept that can truly change the way people see clothing and their own creativity. It can give you the freedom to play, even if you do things seriously, to express yourself and to create your outfit differently every time, be it in a park or at a stylish social event.
I go for the functional and for quality, for buying something knowing that you will happilly use it more often. Moreover, I don't encourage “brainless” consumerism and waste of resources, and I admire people who act according to values like common sense, respect for others, and for the environment.
