Description: Here I present my collection “City lights” for women. The range of clothing includes: classic style pants, one side jackets and one side blouses, play-suit with asymmetrical cut. Collection is designed for parties & special events. Target audience is women aged 20 - 50 years. The clothes are functional to use. They are made from natural fabrics. Achromatic color is a basic palette of the collection "City Lights". Accessories are classic buttons, ties, sleeves that could be taking of and cuffs. In a series of models of my collection has decor that is formed by the constructive lines, tucks & folds. The source of inspiration to design my collection "City Lights" was the art of silent films and my lovely hero Charlie Chaplin. Everyone knows that movies play a significant role in the development of fashion & at the same time fashion often influences on movies. Silent films are the genre that existed at the beginning of XX century. It is characterized that the task of the actors was tremendously difficult. They needed to show history only with gestures and attitudes. This is a movie that attracts with its mystery, fascination and sincerity. Artistic possibilities of silent films were extremely high.Expressive movements of some actors of silent films can hardly be surpassed even in modern sound movies. Charlie Chaplin was able to create an image of a young person who is opposed to cruel hypocrisy of the modern world. This great actor was loved by audience because his hero was similar to everyone at those time. That was a poor charming guy with interesting and ridiculous appearance. His character symbolized purity and goodness of the time. His image was bright and remarkable: bowler hat, baggy pants, a little off-size jacket, mustache and cane. The heroine of my collection is a very sensitive person! She has her own philosophy of life and a rich inner world. She is able to experience the full range of emotions, from anger to laugh. Description: Architectonic takes inspiration from highly aesthetically mannered tailoring methods; taking proportion inspiration from the offset structures and design elements of futuristic architecture, and different textures used in modern architecture. Description: This gorgeous dress is made from a heavy velet fabric, it features wide shoulder straps which are 18cm each in width with a straight centre cut and round edged finish on the outside of the sleeves. Another feature is the large waist band which measures 6cm in width, the skirt is semi full with a neatly hidden centre back zip. Description: The theme behind my punk collection is “Bisou Boogaloo”. For this collection I decided to go with a theme first and then introduce colors as the foundation of my theme. “Boogalo” was a popular 60’s dance that wives did for their husbands in an intimate private setting. The word “Bisou” means kiss in French. By incorpating the word “Bisou” into my collection it represents a women being sexy and romantic but yet daring. I’ve decided to become influenced by the 60’s punk sex era by doing research on popular songs such as Alligator Boogaloo by Lou Donaldson and Gillian Hills zou bisou bisou. These songs motivated me as a designer into illustrating what the 60’s punk sex era meant to me as a designer. As a designer I love showing off the women’s figure and embracing the beauty of the women’s curves. I incorporated denim, silk charmuse and zippers. I also designed low necklines and pants. In order to wear these garments the costumer must have confidence within herself. The color story for “ Bisou Boogaloo” was to use cool tones with a touch of warm color. I decided to incorporate warm reds, dark purples, and deep dark blues. I wanted to choose colors that would best reflect back to the theme. For example choosing the color red is define as intense, passion and sex. The price point for this collection ranges between $100.00- $800.00. In this collection there is a lot of seams detail with decorative hard ware such as belts, metal zippers that includes the two in one pants that turns into shorts. Choosing the title “Bisou Boogaloo” is what my costumer represents, daring, edgy, spontaneous, and glamorous.

Description: CONCEPT: EGYPTIAN RARE is a coat that is inspired by the Egyptian arts and style. The shape of the front Pockets , the high stand collar and the shape of the sides are all about the architecture and design of that era. The contrast of the yellow piping around collar and front opening on the dark gray fabric gives a feeling of Black and Gold of the famous SPHINX statue. The exaggeration of the shoulder pads are harmonized with the high stand collar to provide a sense of nobility and power.

While preparing for this competition I had many ideas on my mind, but at the end I decided for bright, feminine and at the same time cute concept. I would like to define and explain bright part of concept as concept that is based on color palette which includes all sort of nude, peachy, pink, red, yellow and orange colors. I studied the various forms, patterns and textures found in water form ice, to liquid, to vapor, the way it shimmers in the sun and interpreted it all into this collection. The name of this outfit is Waterfall. The light crepe wool coat is a pale peachy flesh tone with a shimmer linen cascading lapel. The bodycon dress with sleeves is made of fine skin tone mesh with a shimmer knit, with ombre blue curved panels in just the right places to accentuate the female form. Description: The inspiration for my latest collection alighted this summer, period of my life where I admitted to have learnt a lot, about my own life and the other’s in relation to it, and mostly of being entitled to pursue my feelings. With a introspective path of analyzing my feelings I comprehended their inner power and the adjacent danger of indulging on sensations given to others. I faced and overcome the most difficult feeling of the Anger, the perception of being trapped, experimenting shapes reminiscing of war armors and using pattern making techniques to overturn the shape of skirts, preventing move- ment, hence consuming the models within exertion or simple peeve. After this first research I saw that the emotion perusing evolved the collection from seeping the feeling of constriction to the pouring out of the feelings - shapes reminisced of the etherealness of being. The concept of the overflowing of emotion was created, the unraveling of a rattling feeling that used to feel locked inside us, after the shapes came the exterior : the perception of the outward of the strings of emotions. Laser cut study has been fundamental consequence – the drilling of emotions onto the skin, and the study of the prints – the very confusion inside one’s mind. At the final stage the collection was presented with the garments with diffe- rent layers, some laser-cut to show the prints underneath – representing the feelings – and soft shaped chiffon skirts that show how the feeling comes through among the confusion of the flowing. Fabrics used: laser cut leather – essential for the comparison; chiffon – enhan- cing the lightness, felt – thickness of emotion.
